Google ranks videos very well, so its great to have videos to support the material you create. Remember earlier on in this series we covered how Google’s search engine finds relevant material? If you create a blog post and video using the keywords your helping to build the web of relevance that Google is hungry to provide its viewers in relation to popular keywords. Its in your best interest to have a presence with videos. At the release of this post, You Tube was ranked third highest ranking website visited in the world. Its very likely part of your niche is regular visitors so its time to create content for your first video series!!
Some quick types about the actual videos themselves.
• Keep the videos between 2 to 3 minutes long. Focus on getting your message across in a clear and concise way.
• Ensure your background is pleasing to the eye. Remove all clutter and mess. Be conscious of what your wearing and the lighting.
• Try and have as much movement in your videos as possible. Hollywood movies have an image moving every 7 seconds. If your like me and sometimes feel your only location is a small room in your house, break up the footage by adding different content when editing the video. At least this will help creating some movement. If your in a park or outside, that’s great as well. Be mindful of the noise around you and how well you can be heard through the mike of your camera.
• Smile, make sure you smile for about 30 seconds at the beginning and the end, if you need to do any editing your left with a good start and finish.
• Be yourself and have fun.
Exercise 1 – What are the ten most common questions potential customers from your niche ask you about your product?
Think about your niche, what type of concerns or questions would they have about your product and how it will help them?
Out of those concerns and questions what are the most common types of questions? You may find the company your affiliated with already has some common questions set out that can help you.
Decide on what keywords best describe your series of ten videos. You may want to group them in smaller series i.e. 3 sets of 3 videos with one series having a bonus video at the end. Spend time on ensuring your keywords are relevant and blend well with your questions.
How to distribute your videos?
My favourite would be Traffic Geyser . If you don’t have a lead page for your product, there is comprehensive training available to help you create one and Traffic Geyser also distributes your videos. The most valuable resource from Traffic Geyser would be the training offered by one of the industries best. Mike Koenigs has worked with many people such as Tony Robbins and Frank Kern and his training that I have been involved with has always been extremely helpful.
Tube Mogul is free and helps you to distribute your videos to several sites.
Summary
• Video marketing is a quick and low cost way to get your message in front of your niche.
• Ensure you provide value in your content and an initial concept to get you started is to base a series of videos around the ten most common questions potential customers from your niche are asking about your product.
• Keep your content short and concise, content the relevance of your questions to suitable keywords for your niche.
• Have fun, smile and be yourself. With practice it will feel less awkward.
