The honeymoon in Europe was over, my family and friends had pored over every picture in our wedding album, and my wedding dress was carefully packed away in a box.

It was time to get back to the grind. The corporate job. The two-hour commutes. Going through the motions and treading water financially.

And all the while, I was yearning for something more. Knowing deep down that there has to be more out there for me.

Hi, my name is Alison Bova.

Welcome to my website.

Perhaps you are in the same boat I was only a short time ago, and you will relate to what I was feeling. At any rate, let me tell you a little bit about myself, and how I ended up with my own business online.

As a child growing up, I split my time between suburbia in Sydney, Australia, and a little place south of Sydney called Callala Beach.

We spent the weekdays in Sydney, where my brother and I were lucky enough to be able to spend a lot of time with our Grandmother.
On the weekends, Mum and Dad would pack us up and we would drive for two and a half hours to our own little paradise at Callala Beach.
It was always so exciting to get there on Friday night, and I was always sad about leaving on Sunday afternoon.

When I was 12 years old our family moved to Callala Beach permanently. It was quite sad to leave our Grandmother who was like a second Mum to my brother and I.

We would call her every night and visit regularly. My brother and I eventually moved back to Sydney and lived with her again. We were fortunate that her door was always open to us.

I can vaguely remember when we moved to our new home. It was during the school break, so we had some time to settle in before going to school. My brother and I rode our bicycles everywhere, went to the beach every day and after living in a unit we finally had a backyard to play in.

The National Park was literally a street away. There were endless tracks we could walk and ride through. When we were bored with the beach we would go for a swim at the local caravan park’s pool.

The caravan park kept injured young Kangaroos in the pool area, so it was always very special for us to spend time there.

I used to have a pen pal in England and I would write and tell her about the huge insects, the dolphins that swam past every day and the wild horses that used to walk through the town.

I have so many fond memories of that time. It was a wonderful way to spend my childhood.

But now to flash forward a little.

In 2005, I joined an Internet dating site, and met an amazing guy called Dave Bova. Dave and I went on our first date, and we have been very happily together ever since. I realize I am blessed to be able to spend my time with my best friend, someone who is effortless and a joy to be around (I should probably let the dating site know about that, I’ll get to it one day :-)

But when I feel a strong sense of certainty about something, I make the decision, and dive in. So far, this is something that has served me very well in my life.

So to pick up where I left off.

I returned from my honeymoon, and the sense of freedom and fun has been left behind. Back to life in my corporate job.

When I contemplated my job (I work in the banking sector), I felt an overwhelming sense of dissatisfaction and frustration.
It is not something that enables me to be creative. It is certainly not something I have a passion for.

I know how important passion is in our lives.

I have really learnt this from my husband, who is an amazingly talented guitarist. He plays in a band, and has a deep passion for what he does, which inspires me to find my own passion, my own sense of excitement about the day ahead when I climb out of bed each morning.

I also wanted to enjoy far greater financial freedom and security. I think that is something that most people are looking for, if they are being really honest. More money affords you more choices about how you spend your time, and whom you spend it with. This is so important to me.

I took my search for an opportunity online. I know that the world of business is moving online at a rapid rate, and every day, thousands of people are becoming connected to the world wide web. I could see the potential to build a business here.

During my search, I found Carbon Copy Pro, and I found a community of progressive leaders who offered me the benchmark of excellence I had been looking for.

I narrowed my focus (there is SO much information out there, all of it promising to be the “next best thing”), and completed my due diligence.
At the end of the day, I related to the Co-Founder’s stories so well that I joined up that night (as I said, when I feel certain about something, I don’t muck around!).

So now I am on an incredible learning journey, and I am learning how to use the Internet to reach people across the planet, in ways that I had never imagined possible before.

I’m happy to say, my yearning for “something bigger” is being satisfied. The more I connect with this community and training, the more a whole new world is being opened up to me.

I always joke about dominating the world some day…now I have found out how I will make it happen :-)

Respectfully,
