Its time to get real, life throw curve balls at you all the time, we only have 24 hours in the day but life feels like it wants to drag 30 hours out of you each day. You may have started your own online business lately and the feeling of overwhelm is starting to kick in.

You realise after the excitement has slightly subdued, how am I going to fit everything in!!
Now I want you to stop..have a break and listen (Vanilla Ice style), its time to take a different approach all together. Picture people like Richard Branson, Donald Trump or Bill Gates. Could you imagine how busy they would be every day? Can you imagine how much planning goes into understanding where they need to be for each hour of the day.
“But they have an assistant, I don’t. How is this helping Alison!” you ask, ok breathe deeply…let me explain.

I want to provide you with time management tips so you can keep yourself accountable and take your business to the next level. If your wanting a six figure income, then you seriously need to realign your perception on how you manage your time.
• Create a schedule where you slot in time for your most important events daily and everything else around this. Keep yourself accountable.
• Stay focused on ‘one’ task at the time.
• Finish what you start, be conscious of an end time for each task.
• Create routines around your body rhythms. When are you most productive? Are you a morning person and have time in the morning to create content for your marketing strategy then slot a time in for content creation.
• Renew yourself. Give yourself time to do the things you love and be with the people you love. Balancing your time well means you can afford to have time for yourself.
• Create a list of income producing activities and ensure you spend the most time on these activities every day.
• Create a list of distractions and make a pledge to yourself that when your busy working, you do not refer to anything on this list. (This is harder then it seems, I’m referring to distractions like emails, text messages, phone calls etc). I’m serious when I refer to you as a CEO. Your focus needs to be 100%, create an allocated time for each. You can still answer but in a time that is suitable to you.

Here is an example of a schedule to get you started. Its set up with the assumption that someone works full time. Time Management Spreadsheet for Lean Mean Marketing Machines.xlsx Let me know if you have a problem with the link.
I personally have started to approach my time management in this fashion, I admit it felt a bit weird to start watching the clock all the time but the important thing managing your time in this way allows you to balance everything so you have a sufficient amount of time on your business AND life. Its all about balance.

Be bold, take action.

How can I promote my product on the internet? What is a low cost way I can send my message to my niche? What’s one marketing strategy I can utilize for my internet business that gets results?

Drum roll…. Video Marketing can be one of your marketing strategies that can assist you in obtaining the results you want.

This article is part 5 of a 5 part series to assist you in learning the important factors behind the psychology of marketing and sales. This will allow you to hone in your message to the right audience, to maximise your leads and sales for your business. It’s not hard to learn, understanding of the important factors and consistent practice and measuring of your results will turn you into a lean mean marketing machine.
This post will combine all the subjects previously raised with links to be previous posts.

Google ranks videos very well, so its great to have videos to support the material you create. Remember earlier on in this series we covered how Google’s search engine finds relevant material? If you create a blog post and video using the keywords your helping to build the web of relevance that Google is hungry to provide its viewers in relation to popular keywords. Its in your best interest to have a presence with videos. At the release of this post, You Tube was ranked third highest ranking website visited in the world. Its very likely part of your niche is regular visitors so its time to create content for your first video series!!

Some quick types about the actual videos themselves.
• Keep the videos between 2 to 3 minutes long. Focus on getting your message across in a clear and concise way.
• Ensure your background is pleasing to the eye. Remove all clutter and mess. Be conscious of what your wearing and the lighting.
• Try and have as much movement in your videos as possible. Hollywood movies have an image moving every 7 seconds. If your like me and sometimes feel your only location is a small room in your house, break up the footage by adding different content when editing the video. At least this will help creating some movement. If your in a park or outside, that’s great as well. Be mindful of the noise around you and how well you can be heard through the mike of your camera.
• Smile, make sure you smile for about 30 seconds at the beginning and the end, if you need to do any editing your left with a good start and finish.
• Be yourself and have fun.
Exercise 1 – What are the ten most common questions potential customers from your niche ask you about your product?
Think about your niche, what type of concerns or questions would they have about your product and how it will help them?
Out of those concerns and questions what are the most common types of questions? You may find the company your affiliated with already has some common questions set out that can help you.
Decide on what keywords best describe your series of ten videos. You may want to group them in smaller series i.e. 3 sets of 3 videos with one series having a bonus video at the end. Spend time on ensuring your keywords are relevant and blend well with your questions.

How to distribute your videos?
My favourite would be Traffic Geyser . If you don’t have a lead page for your product, there is comprehensive training available to help you create one and Traffic Geyser also distributes your videos. The most valuable resource from Traffic Geyser would be the training offered by one of the industries best. Mike Koenigs has worked with many people such as Tony Robbins and Frank Kern and his training that I have been involved with has always been extremely helpful.

Tube Mogul is free and helps you to distribute your videos to several sites.

Summary
• Video marketing is a quick and low cost way to get your message in front of your niche.
• Ensure you provide value in your content and an initial concept to get you started is to base a series of videos around the ten most common questions potential customers from your niche are asking about your product.
• Keep your content short and concise, content the relevance of your questions to suitable keywords for your niche.
• Have fun, smile and be yourself. With practice it will feel less awkward.

How I start my article? What Topic should I write about? Does Keywords matter with an article?
Here are the tips in the order to help you build your article.

1. Define your niche or audience? The following questions can help prompt your customer profile. Who will want to read this information? What’s important to them right now? Above all, what struggles do they face?

2. Select your Keyword phrase. What are the keywords that will attract your potential readers to your article based on who you defined in question 1?

3. Select your title utilizing your keywords. Your content really needs to be in sync with your keywords. Why? I think it’s annoying if your looking for something in particular in Google, you select the link, start reading the article and the writer goes on another tangent. A title in the form of a question is interesting for a potential reader. Its human nature to want to find out the answer.

4. Select your Topic. We are now at the stage of our training series where its time to select a topic. (Goes to show there is a lot behind what goes on before this stage). If your struck for ideas, you may want to think about what your main concerns were when you started your business? What are the solutions you have found for these questions.

5. Article Structure. Your articles can be diverse in how you structure your content.
a. A how-to article. – Have you learnt about how to use a new application you can share with your viewer?
b. A review – Look out for review options for keyword phrases. You could provide a review on your business model or something about your business.
c. A problem, then solution article – Identify an issue your reader is facing, capture the emotion tied into that issue and provide a solution.
d. A comparison article. As your learning new concepts and techniques you can share your knowledge about the differences between the two and what you represent.

6) Its time to write your article!! Here is one suggested format.
1. Introductory paragraph – Here’s why you need to know/learn this.
a. This is the pain you are going to avoid.
b. This is the positive result you will achieve by reading on.
2. Here’s What it is.
a. The Theory.
b. Concepts/Stories.
3. Here’s the how to.
a. Provide Action Steps
4. What if.
a. Go do this right now.
b. Closing paragraph. Provide a summary of the main points of your article.

7 . Distribute your article to the following sites.
http://ezinearticles.com/
http://www.goarticles.com/
Provide links to your article on your social media pages. Reschedule these links so once every month to two months your promoting your material.

The time is now! It’s very important that you create as many articles as possible. It’s through practice that you will get better over time. Don’t wait till everything is absolutely correct until you publish. Try and give yourself a time limit so you can get the habit of running through these steps quickly so you can get to content building.

Exercise 1 Answer these questions first.

1. Select an issue or concern you had when you started your business and the solution you located.

2. Go through the above steps and create your article. Send me the link and I will leave comments.

Summary
• Your customer will only buy from you when they know you, like you and trust you.
• Provide your potential customers with valuable information, mix a bit of your personality into so you are providing unique perspective while assisting them with answering their concerns.

It can be very daunting and stressful to create material for your niche as a new Internet Marketer. Before you spend your time and money into creating material read this post to ensure your on the right track. Traffic to your lead page and website is crucial to the success to your online business.

“What do my potential customer want to read?” “What format?”, “What is the current trend or need?” “What information adds real value to a potential customers business?”
Where do I start?!!

This article is part of a 5 part series to assist you in learning the important factors behind the psychology of marketing and sales. This will allow you to hone in your message to the right audience, to maximise your leads and sales for your business. It’s not hard to learn, understanding of the important factors, consistent practice and measuring of your results will turn you into a lean mean marketing machine.

One of the key elements on becoming a lean mean marketing machine is your skill of locating keywords that potential customers from your selected niche are searching for on Google. Keywords are crucial to grabbing the attention of your audience aka your niche. Its like going fishing, it doesn’t matter how great your bait is, if your location is wrong you won’t be catching anything that day and will be eating takeaway pizza for dinner.

The Attraction Marketing fundamentals not only give potential customers from your nich valuable information for free they also can access your information easily if its positioned well in the search engine.

Some background information on Google’s search engine set up.
Google is the largest advertising agency in the world because approx 70% of people prefer to use Google for their searched. To keep Google competitive they need to provide their searchers quality information. This keeps advertisers keen to advertise on Google.

What happens when a search is promoted by a viewer?
Once a keyword phrase is typed into the Google search field, the Google Spider (sometimes called Webcrawler) searches the web for the keywords that have been typed in. The search engine then indexes the information the spiders retrieve according to a number of factors;
• Keywords
• Content
• Links
• Quality of Links
• Activity on your pages.

As an Internet Marketer, how does this benefit me?

You need to get your bait in front of as many fish as possible. The keywords you use in your title and through the body of your message will have to align with the above-mentioned elements to gain a good position on the Google search results.

I think the most challenging part as a new kid on the Internet Marketing block can be selecting the right keywords, so take note of this exercise and practice, practice and practice. Be creative and come up with as many keyword combinations as possible, then test out whether they are viable to use. Why? Because all your hard work will come undone if no one reads your material.

Exercise 1 Answer these questions first.
Here’s an example- You are a wholesaler for Women’s Shoes and you would like to promote your new line on the internet. Your keywords are going to be around ladies typing in keywords or sentences like;
Sexy high heels & Leather high heels.
Refer to this video for a live example on how you use the Google Keyword Tool to access these two options.

Exercise 2
Now its your turn, write down as many terms and phrases you can think of that relates to your niche. Go the Google Keywood tool and access how suitable those terms are to use.

Summary
• Keywords selection is crucial to being ‘seen’ on the internet.
• Google ranks videos very high based on your keywords.
• Write down your keywords, go to the Google keyword tool, find out the monthly search volumes and compare it to the amount of results found when searched in Google and if advertisements are being placed on the page.
• Practice, practice, practice.

Honing this skill will allow you to create true leverage on the material you create because there will always be potential customers locating your information. Good Luck :o )

Why am I not making enough sales? Why is this taking so long to make a profit, I thought it would be instant? What am I doing wrong?

Becoming a lean mean marketing machine does not happen overnight. Training and practicing what you have learnt is very important and crucial to your development. You have to be persistent and work harder than the 97% of network marketers out there to become successful. “Is it really worth it?” you ask, it depends on how strong your ‘why’ is. Personally the option of being a stay at home Mum, owning my own business and helping others to do the same so I can ditch my Corporate job in the Finance industry is a strong enough reason for me. How about you? Its very competitive but the rewards can change your life forever. You got to be hungry like a tiger grrr…ok, let’s get started…

The psychology of the marketing is crucial to your success; you need to build the right type of relationship with potential customers by providing them valuable information they can use. Attraction Marketing is all about being the popular kid on the block and people being drawn to you because they see you as a leader and providing value to them, the information you provide helps them with their concerns and they are then in a position where they trust you enough to want to buy from you.

I have created a map to visually show you how content you create to provide value to a customer turns into a potential lead and sale.

People need to know you, like you and trust you before they buy from you. The type of information you provide and how you create your own personal brand helps the potential customer to get to know you.

• If your not creating enough leads for your business, have you defined your niche correctly?
• Have you created a profile of a customer? (If not refer back to part 1 of this 5 part series.)
• Is it the valuable information that you need to focus on?
• How do you want to be perceived by your niche? Are you blending professionalism with your unique personality?

Exercise 2 Decide what format you would like to use to promote your products/services.

This is a list of some of the options available on the internet;
• Social Media i.e. Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, My Space.
• Video Marketing-You Tube, Traffic Geyser, TubeMogel.
• Article Marketing
• Emails
• Squidoo lens or Hub pages
• Classified Ads
• Banner Advertising
• PPC (Pay Per Click)
• Blogs
• Press Releases.

Video Marketing is a great way to start off with, you can provide valuable information while your potential customer gets to know you by viewing your videos. Google loves videos and the more relevant and valuable the information is the more likely you will be ranked higher than other submissions in the organic search. They key words you select play an important part. We will cover keywords within this series, hold on.

Summary
• Your customer will only buy from you when they know you, like you and trust you.
• Provide your potential customers with valuable information, mix a bit of your personality into so you are providing unique perspective while assisting them with answering their concerns.

What would happen if Michael J Fox’s character from Back to the Future 2 Marty McFly became an MLM consultant and was stuck in 2010?

I have recently read an ebook called ‘The Attraction Marketers Manifesto from Ann Sieg. This is slightly amusing to me because this is the free ebook I offer people when they want to learn more about what I do and I actually hadn’t read it and was surprised of the quality of information when I finished reading it tonight.
It’s easy to over complicate things in this world. There are lots of questions from business owners….What is important to customers in 2010? Why are old MLM methods so outdated? How can you create momentum so customers seek you out instead of you having to chase them? How can you stand out from the crowd? How can the ‘average Joe’ take these learning and really make a difference in their business?
I have had limited experience in the MLM industry. I think I was involved with a particular company for about a year, so I combined my memories and some examples Ann explained in her ebook and have created a new scene from the movie Back to the Future 2 with Michael J Fox (aka Marty McFly).
Marty is an MLM consultant transported from 1980 to 2010… (add the swishing sound of the car taking off here and tacky 80’s music)…
Marty lands in Los Angeles in June 2010 and finds out that he is stuck in this time zone because Dr Emmett Brown has fallen ill and can’t assist him in returning to 1980. Marty is a little stressed but acknowledges that he needs to do his best to make the most of his current situation.
Marty finds a place to live and gets to work. The MLM Company he was originally involved with is still running and he joins them as a new member.
He struggles with a list of warm contacts, (give him a break, his from the 80’s) and does the best he can. Marty ensures he identities any opportunity where he can discuss his product or opportunity into a conversation with any new acquaintance.
Marty meets a girl called Alicia. Alicia tells him she is an ‘Internet Marketer’ and doesn’t provide a lot of detail about what that entails, Alicia appears to be very passionate about her business. Alicia offers to provide Marty with a few ebooks to help promote his business, but Marty doesn’t understand what that means and declines politely. Alicia is a nice girl with an infectious laugh and he likes to hang around her so he is interested in learning more about her.
Marty and Alicia start to hang out, they go to the movies. Alicia finds Marty interesting. She is not sure what it is but there is something different about him.
The difference in Marty and Alicia’s approach to their businesses is huge. This is obvious purely by the way they both utilize their time and the ROI (Return on Investment) difference between the two models.
Dr Emmett Brown is still sick so Marty foresees he will be in 2010 for longer than he expected. Marty is getting a lot of knock backs, people are weary and do not want to commit to a time to conduct a home meeting, Marty persists and is progressing well. Alicia and Marty spend the day together, Marty does enjoy his time with Alicia and gets a bit distracted throughout the day, his concerned because the amount of time he has spent away from his business. Marty promises himself that he will work extra hard tomorrow to make up for it.
Alicia’s working hours are flexible. Its easy for Alicia to arrange her day so she can get what she needs done and spend time with Marty. Alicia uses various marketing methods to support her sales. Alicia can afford to take time out, technically though her business is always open because she has a website, in the afternoon she takes a quick look at her email account on the way home and notices there have been a few sales and more leads while she was spending time with Marty.
Dr Emmet Brown recovers and arranges to bring Marty home. It’s a sad farewell and Marty is tempted to apply what he learnt from Alicia in 1980!!
In Summary, Marty works long hours for very little money in comparison to Alicia.. It’s very important for your business, time and resources that you evolve with the current marketing strategies available. Don’t allow your business to be left behind. Its imperative for the success of your business to become a part of the information age.
