Would type of conversation do you need to have with your team for them to be highly successful? How can you inspire someone to problem solve and create their own answer to their burning question?

There are several styles of coaching that could assist you in creating a high performance team. I have created a video for you to highlight one of the styles to assist you and your team. I think this style is powerful because you are not ‘telling’ or ‘forcing’ your ideas onto someone else, its up to them to take the initiative and work towards their own goal with your guidance. They are more likely to take action because you have their buy in into the solution.

Effectively coaching for entrepreneurs isn’t any different to how a leader would normally approach coaching in a traditional business environment. An entrepreneur is fully aware that they need to take ownership, take consistent action and focus to be successful and fulfill their goals and it’s you guidance would be well received.

I reflect on all the leaders I had in my working life and how productive I was based on my working relationship with my leader. The leaders I have fond memories of I think saw the style I preferred, encouraged me to push my limits, were authentic, honest, professional, presented obstacles as challenges and provided a high benchmark for me to work towards to continue to set higher standards and goals for myself. I believe they did all this by just taking the time to have a conversation with me on a regular basis. I felt so motivated I would of moved mountains because a simple ‘thank you’ from them was rewarding.

Don’t underestimate the power of this conversation. When its done properly it is highly effective for the trainee and especially highly rewarding for the coach.
Here is the video link its called Do you want to create a high performance team?

It always fascinates me how the way we communicate and what we say affects our relationships with people. There is a book called Fierce Conversations by Susan Scott that I highly recommend.

A fierce conversation encourages people to be authentic and honest to themselves and others. A single conversation can change the course of a career, marriage or life. How many things are left unsaid with the people closet to you?
Which leads me to a fundamental skill that underpins being an exceptional coach and leader….communication.

Be bold, take action.
