Are you on the Internet searching for a home-based business opportunity? What factors within a home based business model combined with your resources, capital, determination and passion is going to help you select a successful business model that’s right for you?
Here are some tips on important factors to help you on your search;

1. ‘High-end’ Products- Products and services require to have a high price tag to create the opportunity to make a sufficient amount of income…period. Without the high price tag it takes a long time to generate substantial revenue. It’s like setting up a scenario where two people are working in sales. Person A is selling in a $2 Bargain Shop (all products are priced at $2) in comparison to Person B who is working in a jewelery store. Person B may not be as busy as Person A but commission on one sale for Person B beats Person A hands down. (You not only want to make money, you always want to gain time back, high-end products to work smarter, not harder.)

2. A product that is unique and difficult to copy- How many nutritional supplements and juices are there in the marketplace? If you were choosing these products to buy yourself, wouldn’t you normally seek out a brand you know and trust already? Most of this market is already set up with some of the big players owning the lion share, Amway is a great example over 50 years old and still going strong. Would you want to compete against a brand like Amway or have a totally unique product to offer?

3. A well-balanced compensation plan -High upfront commissions allow you to build momentum quickly. Most people starting a home-based business do so with the intention of supplementing their income initially and with a modest amount of capital. Small commission payments are not going to help you to build the momentum. The high end up front commissions help you to support your business costs and move away from that dreaded nine to five job and the back end residuals provide the long-term income.

4. A high demand product- Fairly self- explanatory.

5. Training- This may be a new skill set for you. You will need comprehensive training with structure and consistency to help me learn and build the knowledge you need to support your new business. Both technical and personal development skills is a must have, if a home based business model can provide you the majority of this material your on the right track to success.

6.Mastermind with leaders- the opportunity of leveraging the knowledge of successful leaders within your industry is important. This helps you to want to create new benchmarks, be accountable and understand their approach, attitude and overall mindset. This is important for me, it helps you to build rapport and relationships with people that already have the success you crave.

7.Bonus tip-Working a nine to five job means you have someone else (or your customers’) driving your work needs on a daily basis. A home-based business means you’re the boss!! You need to be disciplined, motivated and passionate to create your own work load and do what it takes, without this the other six points above don’t mean much.

“The Compassionate Decision changes the way most people view forgiveness. A forgiving spirit allows you to let go of the past and embrace a compelling new future. Harboring anger and resentment for others- regardless of whether or not “they deserve it”- poisons your soul and limits your growth. When you embrace forgiveness through the Compassionate Decision, your level of person success becomes boundless. “ Extract from Andy Andrew book Mastering the Seven Decisions – The Traveler’s Gift.

Are you willing to kick old habits of anger and resentment to clear the pathway for a new future? If you have read this book before you will recognize the above passage being from the Traveler’s Gift. I could go back to the beginning of the book and take you through each decision in sequence but in true ‘Ally style’ I can’t wait and have to share this with you now!!

If you’re anything like me, your working towards changing your life for you and your family. We all know what physically happens when we are annoyed, angry or frustrated with someone. Someone may cut you off while your driving, or things have historically happened in your life and you hang onto that anger or resentment. It happens, I know that, but have you ever taken the chance to notice who is effected by this anger in the long run? It’s you… whether the other person knows your angry at them or not…its you that harbors the anger or resentment. This is toxic stuff and you need to release it, for your own sake. It’s draining your energy and makes you stuck in “quicksand” in your old way of thinking.

I encourage you to learn a new way of dealing with anger to help you allow yourself to move on to bigger and better things. Why…because you deserve it :o )
This may sound airy fairy to some, I believe its important to truly understand how one person can make small changes in their life to assist them in achieving a successful and fulfilling life.
Be bold, take action.

P.S. I have thought I a great analogy as an example, I will film it over the weekend and attach it to this blog post… so stay tuned…

Would You Compare A Home Based Business to Art?

I locate from Perry Marshall’s website today and wanted to share one of his recent blog posts with you. The content is quite relevant for me. My husband is a guitar player and we naturally discuss music for hours on end in a similar vain to Perry’s view on Eric Clapton’s style. What’s great about this article is today I was sitting in the corner working on my plan and this article is about something a similar topic mixed in with a view similar to my husband has on music.

“I have no doubt that Eric Clapton can shred guitar as blisteringly fast as almost anyone else. But there’s a reason they call him “Slowhand.”
Just because you can play a million miles an hour doesn’t mean you should. Doesn’t mean that makes for the most satisfying musical experience.
What I’d like you to listen to in this video is the s-p-a-c-e between the notes. Never too much, never too little. Sometimes fast, sometimes slow. Just the right pace, the right notes hypnotically strung together. The song rolls forward unstoppably like a steamroller.
Eric Clapton has no need to prove anything to anybody. He’s got the mojo and everyone knows it.
That’s the mark of a master artist.
It’s also the mark of a prevailing business strategist. Because business isn’t just money and goods. Business is art, too.
Yes, of course there is an element of relentless determination, but it’s quiet determination. It’s not frenetic. It’s not about running as fast as you can as hard as you can every minute of the day.
It’s about hearing the space between the notes, and making every note count.
There is a sense of deliberate precision and measured intent to everything you do. You don’t slavishly react to everything that shows up in the email box. There’s a lot of things you say no to.
You set aside time to think and plan. Like John Reese says, your most productive time isn’t spent in front of your computer. It’s spent in a quiet corner with a yellow pad of paper and an evolving plan.
And every move, every tactic, every strategy begins to have a sense of purpose and definition. People begin to take notice as they see that you plan your work and work your plan and nothing deters you. In time you engineer your own transformation from “business guy” or “business gal” to respected artist and master.”

Take time to reflect

Taking the time to reflect and have an introspective moment all to yourself can be so rewarding. It gives you an opportunity to honestly access where you are; physically, financially, emotionally and professionally in your life. It’s an opportunity to have an honest and authentic conversation with yourself and ask yourself seriously, ‘have you visibly seen the results you were expecting to achieve in all these areas of your life?’ If you have that’s great if not ‘what can you do better next time?’
Here is a video I have created with this theme, I was in the city and had a great opportunity to take some pictures of the Sydney sun set just for you.
We expect a lot of ourselves, its nice to just have some time to focus on past events so you can learn from them and move on.
It helps to have this time so when its time to get back to work you can be super focused and ready for action

Be Bold, Take Action.

I wanted to have a symbol to represent my new stance on life, to show how much my business means to me. The symbol had to represent how important empowering others to live life on their terms was to me. I wanted to do something I have never done before I had my own business, to push my own limits, to get out of my comfort zone and really experience something new.
It was time to prove to myself that fear and doubt were never going to be obstacles every again.
I decided my symbol was going to be to go tandem skydivingIt’s easy to relate sky diving to owning your own online business. Owning your own business can allow old feelings of doubt and uncertainty creep in. Fear and doubt doesn’t allow you to believe you can change and become a successful and wealthy entrepreneur that creates value in other peoples’ lives.
I took the plunge on the 8th of May,2010. I was strapped to someone while we willingly fell out of a plane 14000 feet in the sky. I steered the parachute (only for a small timeframe) and enjoyed the view of the Wollongong coastline. I felt fear like I have never felt fear before. (It’s obviously not normally for a plane’s door to open while you’re in the air and to willingly jump out.) I noticed how fear took over me for a few seconds and then left my body after I decided I wasn’t going to be scared. I accepted where I was and wanted to enjoy the beautiful view over the Wollongong coast line.

Sometimes in life, whether it be sky diving or owning your own online business your mind fills with negative thoughts and you talk yourself into believing its not for you and its easier to give up.
Don’t let these thoughts stop you from pursuing your dreams. The only person you disappoint in the long run is yourself.

I want to be the type of person who speaks through their actions and I know my message is loud and clear. You can create a new future for you and your family.

Its all up to you and what your willing to do to get there. I will definitely go sky diving again, it was an amazing experience. If you have gone skydiving please send me a link to your photos I would love to see them.
Life is to precious to waste a second.

Be bold, take action.

Would type of conversation do you need to have with your team for them to be highly successful? How can you inspire someone to problem solve and create their own answer to their burning question?

There are several styles of coaching that could assist you in creating a high performance team. I have created a video for you to highlight one of the styles to assist you and your team. I think this style is powerful because you are not ‘telling’ or ‘forcing’ your ideas onto someone else, its up to them to take the initiative and work towards their own goal with your guidance. They are more likely to take action because you have their buy in into the solution.

Effectively coaching for entrepreneurs isn’t any different to how a leader would normally approach coaching in a traditional business environment. An entrepreneur is fully aware that they need to take ownership, take consistent action and focus to be successful and fulfill their goals and it’s you guidance would be well received.

I reflect on all the leaders I had in my working life and how productive I was based on my working relationship with my leader. The leaders I have fond memories of I think saw the style I preferred, encouraged me to push my limits, were authentic, honest, professional, presented obstacles as challenges and provided a high benchmark for me to work towards to continue to set higher standards and goals for myself. I believe they did all this by just taking the time to have a conversation with me on a regular basis. I felt so motivated I would of moved mountains because a simple ‘thank you’ from them was rewarding.

Don’t underestimate the power of this conversation. When its done properly it is highly effective for the trainee and especially highly rewarding for the coach.
Here is the video link its called Do you want to create a high performance team?

It always fascinates me how the way we communicate and what we say affects our relationships with people. There is a book called Fierce Conversations by Susan Scott that I highly recommend.

A fierce conversation encourages people to be authentic and honest to themselves and others. A single conversation can change the course of a career, marriage or life. How many things are left unsaid with the people closet to you?
Which leads me to a fundamental skill that underpins being an exceptional coach and leader….communication.
